Beach Party
The Ocean Bar & Grill and the beach at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Casino in Isla Verde were recently transformed into a trendy lounge where guests danced the night away to celebrate the re-launching of the restaurant.
Guests sipped Veuve Cliqcuot and Johnnie Walker Black Label cocktails throughout the evening. Executive Chef Jason Adams prepared an array of hors d'oeuvres, ranging from local favorites such as marinated queso del país & papaya pinchos to Chef Keiko Yabuuchi's famous sushi rolls.
The Ocean Bar & Grill's new design, by Helene Amyot of U Design, incorporates tinted acrylic for the bar, acrylic panes with small organic branches for the wall, dark, outdoor wicker furniture with custom-made pillows, white curtains and wicker lamps, using natural or recycled materials.
The hotel also launched its new Sushi by the Sea concept, an oceanfront sushi bar for both guests and the general public during the event. Sushi Chef Keiko Yabbuuchi heads Sushi By The Sea and will delight guests with creations that blend the best of Nipponese and Puerto Rican culinary traditions Wednesdays to Sundays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
